ABOUT US

My name is Christian Stovall and I own and operate Hidden Mountain Farm. I spent 10 years in both the Berkshires and Vermont’s Champlain Valley managing cattle and sheep in multiple different intensive grazing management systems. When I moved back to the Berkshires from Vermont, I sprung on the opportunity to start this farm on my family’s land in New Marlborough. I began by raising meat lambs and in 2018, and in 2020, we built a timber frame barn, expanding into raising Border Leicester breeding stock. Grazing is the core mission of Hidden Mountain Farm, and all of our ewes and lambs are moved to fresh pasture every 1-3 days. Our lamb is mild but flavorful and our ewes are hearty and productive, qualities that can be attributed to our intentional management techniques.
